Laura Avila and Sadie Croskey bring two distinct perspectives to the conversation around using AI and digital tools in today’s workplace—combining professional experience in operations and project management with a fresh, hands-on perspective from the next generation of professionals.

Laura Avila is an Architect and Project & Operations Manager with a background in corporate real estate, workplace strategy, facilities, project management, and events management. She has led workplace and facilities initiatives for global organizations, including Meta Platforms, where she served as a Facilities Manager supporting corporate workplace operations and projects in Latin America. Laura currently leads the planning and operations of the PM Systems Conference, overseeing conference strategy, project management, logistics, vendor and stakeholder coordination, and the overall attendee experience. Her experience managing complex projects and operations gives her a practical perspective on how technology and AI can be integrated into everyday workflows to improve efficiency and productivity.

Outside of work, Laura is passionate about animals and is a proud dog mom to two adopted dogs. She enjoys spending time outdoors with them and making the most of life beyond the workplace.

Joining her is Sadie Croskey, a Marketing Assistant supporting the PM Systems Conference. Sadie graduated from high school in 2025 and is currently attending community college, with plans to transfer and continue pursuing a degree in Education. Through her work in the family business and with the conference, Sadie has gained hands-on experience across day-to-day operations, marketing, and digital tools. She has developed a particular interest in using AI thoughtfully to streamline tasks, improve productivity, and support everyday business operations.

Outside of school and work, Sadie enjoys expressing her creativity through music and photography. She especially enjoys listening to music and capturing moments through photography, using both as creative outlets to connect with the people and things around her.

Together, Laura and Sadie offer complementary perspectives on AI in the workplace—bringing together experience, curiosity, and practical application. Their session is designed to make AI approachable for beginners and provide attendees with simple, useful ways to begin incorporating AI and digital tools into their own work.
